Antique hunting is one of my newly discovered favorite past-times. Similar to the thrift store hunting that I loved in high school, this is a always unique adventure of hunting through other people's treasures, and finding reminders of a time once ago. I love it. Especially pyrex from the 60s.

Yellowstone Winter 2012

April 29th, 2012

Yesterday took some photos in the desert of a dog park that is across the city from us. Needless to say, the blinding sun, the panting dog, and the fact that we had already been outside for 2 hours before we even started taking photos led to poor compositions. But at least we took some photos!

Today I have been trying to figure out some editing tools on my computer. I spent all this time editing a couple images, and then when I went to load them up on here, they look like the originals! Arg!! I will figure it out eventually, but today is not the day.

So, instead. . . here's a photo from Yellowstone this past winter. That was a great trip! It was hard to take all the scenery in and I think I took over 500 pictures in one day. . . oops.

I will continue to play around with editing and hopefully I can get some more season-appropriate pictures up.

April 28th, 2012.

This is one of my favorite shots from this winter. Yellowstone National Park, right before seeing Old Faithful erupt.

Even though it is not new years, my resolution for the next year is to pick back up my photography hobby. My goal will be to take one photo a day. Of something. I will try to post them to keep me motivated. Of all the hobbies I started, photography has to be my favorite. Knitting was great, but I really only made scarves, and. . . in the desert we really don't need a lot of scarves. This should be fun as I have a new camera (Canon Rebel T3) and lots of free time. . . we'll see how it goes.
